Yesterday bluewalks went to the Ericsson event in the magnificent Kista Science Tower, where they introduced to the developer community their recently created Ericsson Labs. This is a portal where they provide resources for mobile developers, plus a space to upload and showcase your applications to other fellow developers.

Ericsson Labs has some cool stuff, for example the ability to test a mobile application live and, something we especially liked, the maps. They did a demo of this on a mobile, not on one of the so-called smart phones but a rather normal one. We must say that for not being a bleeding edge mobile the overall feeling of the maps application was quite impressive.

All in all, the event was good and it was nice to see some movement on the mobile scene. We’re really excited about the whole mobile thing and confident that it will soon start achieving all of its true potential.
